SFU Winter Wedding: Mervyn & Karolina

During the early Spring last year, Marshal and I got to do an engagement shoot with these two.

On Dec. 20, I had the honor of photographing their wedding. The day started off in Richmond for the ceremony and continued on at the Diamond Alumni club at SFU. Thankfully, the snow from the day before was virtually all washed away so there were no problems making our way up Burnaby Mountain (which was closed the previous day because of the snow). I had about 15 minutes for photos with Karolina & Mervyn before we needed to head to the reception and then the night proceeded with good food, speeches, laughter, and music (including an amazing Mariachi band!).

Brock House Reception: Steve and Denise

Steve and Denise were married in Switzerland, where she is from, so when they got back to Vancouver, they decided to have a reception to celebrate with everyone who couldn’t make it to their wedding from Vancouver. It took place at the beautiful Brock House in Kitsilano. Before the reception started, we had a short time for family photos and photos of Steve & Denise so we took advantage of the elegant leather couch and wooden staircase inside the house. The night continued with laughter and good food. Wishing the two of you all the best in your future together!

It’s Official!

The past month or so we’ve been hard at work putting together our official website. After coming up with a rough design, we passed it along to Megan from White Ink Designs and from there she developed it into exactly what we were looking for. A seriously big shout out to Megan for doing such an awesome job; thanks!

Stanley Park Wedding: Curtis and Andrea

It was the evening of October 5th and guests started to fill the beautiful venue at the Stanley Park Rose Garden. Andrea looked like she had stepped off the cover of a Glamour Magazine as she walked down the aisle to meet her Curtis. They said their I do’s and it was official. “I cant believe we are finally married”, I heard Andrea say as the two of them had a moment alone after the ceremony. We headed over to the Brockton Point Lighthouse for their couples photos and after the evening sun was setting, left for a fun filled evening reception. With an open mic, story’s and good times where told and the wedding party danced on into the evening.

Thanks so much to Curtis and Andrea for making us a part of your special day and all the best for your future together.

Deer Lake Park Engagement: Rum & Sukh

After meeting up with Sukh and Rum for coffee, the excitement started to build for their up coming engagement photo shoot. We had a few fun ideas in mind to compliment what they were after and we decided they would go boating for the first time together. We met at Deer Lake Park and after shooting some photos around the lake, the two of them headed off in the row boat. The sun was fading and the colours and reflections on the water became alive as the couple lit tea lights for a romantic evening on the water.
