The first wedding of the season is always exciting. This year, Brad & Lei were our first couple of the season whose wedding we photographed, and let me tell you it was a great start to the season! The weather leading up to the wedding was grey and rainy. Even the morning of the big day didn’t look too promising. As the day went on though, the weather cleared up and in the afternoon the sun broke through the clouds giving just enough time to take photos outside at Deer Lake Park. Because the weather had turned out to be so beautiful after days of downpour, everyone and their aunt, uncle, and dog were outside enjoying the beautiful day while it lasted. Thankfully though, we were able to find a few quiet spots for photos at the park.

After the first look and a great photo session, we headed back to Nikkei Place for the ceremony. It was a touching ceremony and the vows that Brad and Lei wrote for each other were just beautiful. The ceremony was followed by a fun, joy-filled reception with lots of great food and laughter. We saw some amazing musical talent, and an awesome flash mob dance!
